Home Page
Welcome to the home page of the Ashley Village Owners Association (AVOA) located in Clackamas, Oregon.
Founded in 1996, Ashley Village is the quintessential suburban neighborhood located right across from Oregon Trail Elementary School with numerous walkable options including New Seasons, Grocery Outlet, Ace Hardware, Killer Burger, Happy Valley Station Food Carts, Snap Fitness, the Happy Valley Library, and so much more!
We have emerged from the pandemic with a new group of Directors, Officers, and members and look forward to bringing back community engagement while maximizing our spending in order to keep our low-price annual dues flat. As you see opportunities to enhance our neighborhood, please connect with us on your new Facebook page or directly by email, [email protected] or phone.
Sincerely,
AVOA Board
2024 Updates
Our admin, Vicki Miller, retired. If you know someone who can do a few hours of work a year printing and mailing letters, please let us know.
Smooth sailing operationally, with little new activity so far as board members have put focus on other parts of life (kids/grandkids)
Strong 2023 calendar year. We earned over $2K(!) in interest in 2023, about 20% of our total income, and our expenses were about 60% of our income. Part of this expense reduction is doing our own tax returns and sale requests.
Reinvested $25K Alley fund in a 5.2% CD, maturing in April 2025.
2023 Updates
Updated Insurance coverage to save ~25% or ~$250 per year by lowering liability coverage from $3M to $1M
Updated online payment to be through Stripe and added to this website. Unfortunately, Square account became inaccessible before 2020 as it belongs to an unknown former member
Changed our bookkeeper to save on costs and increase availability
Confirmed with Clackamas county that it is not feasible to dissolve. The "Alleys" would not be maintained by the county for any cost and getting a 75% vote + legal paperwork to shrink the association to only alley lots is not practical.
